Things get busy on a day-to-day schedule. Office Celebrations gives us a chance to unwind and get to know each other on a different level. One of the reasons we enjoy celebrations is because they allow us to enjoy what truly matters – appreciating people in our lives.
Did you know that when employees genuinely like each other, their work as a team improves? Having regular get togethers gives team members more time to spend together in a non-stressful situation.
There are many reasons to celebrate at work: To celebrate a success at work, to appreciate your staff, to impress your clients or simply to remember birthdays as they come up. While all these things are worth-while, what about celebrating for no reason at all or for the many other days not normally celebrated!
Celebrate, Celebrate, Celebrate.
New Year’s is a time to celebrate but it’s also a time to change things up a bit. Let’s try something new and add more days to celebrate. What about National Popcorn Day on January 19. Although this year, it falls on a Saturday, why not end the week on January 18 with different popcorn flavors. Be creative.
What about National Puzzle Day on January 29! You can have employees work together on a jigsaw puzzle or a crossword puzzle, then take a break to have cake together.
In February, don’t forget to celebrate Ground Hog Day. You can celebrate – whether Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow or not.
Of course, we’ll remember Valentines Day with a celebration – a perfect time for a cake decorated with love.
Begin the month of March with a Mardi Gras celebration on March 5 with purple, yellow, and green decorations. A King Cake is a Mardi Gras tradition where a baby is baked within a cake. Some say the person who gets the “baby” in their piece will receive good luck.
